SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE

Present tense adalah menyatakan peristiwa yang terjadi sekarang tanpa waktu dalam bentuk yang sederhana.

Rumus:

I/YOU/WE/THEY  + INFINITIVE + COMPLEMENT + MODIFIER

HE/SHE/IT + INFINITIVE (S/ES) + COMPLEMENT + MODIFIER

Complement     = objek

S                              = subjek

V                             = verb 1

Modifier              = kata keterangan (cara, waktu, tempat)

Example:

1.       I study English everyday. (habitual action)

2.       We eat oatmeal every morning. (stative verb)

3.       She walks alone. (stative verb)

4.       He goes to school every day. (habitual action)

5.       She usually learns English. (habitual action)

6.       Hogi loves Marry. (stative verb)

7.       Goldy needs bread. (stative verb)

8.        Jill always writes letter. (habitual action)

PRESENT PROGRESSIVE (CONTINOUS)

Present Progressive (continous) adalah menerangkan kejadian yang sekarang.

Rumus:

S + is, am, are + V + ing

Example:

1.       Jeslyn is calling him now.( present time)

2.       Keane is leaving for the school at one o’clock. (future time)

3.       The committee members are meeting now.

4.       They are cooking noodle  tomorrow. (future time)
